I don't txt msgs. The only ones I received are from Telus and are related to Telus business. Just have to make sure that Telus isn't going to ding me for these unsolicited messages. Yeah, spammed by my own carrier!
Anyway this new policy should come as no surprise because the carriers have always charge us for dialed and received calls on our cellphones. The recent policy change just means Bell and Telus are treating txt msgs the same as voice.

This doesn't affect me. I don't own a cellphone, and if I have one I don't care about such extra services.
You don't have a cellphone? You are the only young person I know who doesn't have one.
A. I hardly go out, and B. I don't have a lot of friends. So it's easier for people to get a hold of me, but yeah, there have been some times where I wish I had a cellphone handy. I also happen to be one of the very few people out there who do not have a Facebook. Hahaha, I am so low budget.
With cellphones very often it is the convenient and security. There never seems to be pay phone close-by when you need one.
Facebook is a great time waster. Sometines I wonder whether some of them have a life or not.
Oh!! That's the thing! It seems like there are less and less payphones. I find it harder to find one when I'm in major need to call someone desperately.
Years ago, before cellphones were commercially available, I had car problem between Fraser and Clarke. It was during evening rush hour. That was before VCC moved their campus from 12th and Oak. To my horror the nearest pay phone was at Fraser.
