Riding the cart

This is a dangerous practice, having kids riding in shopping carts this way. Who am I to say when their father is happy with it?

Plastic bags

This trail of unwound plastic bags by the fruit stands has a kind of gracefulness as it flows over the apples.

Who lost this?

I'm almost 100% sure that who ever left this there didn't have need for it in the first place. I mean how did he/she able to walk away without ir?

Was at Superstore today. Saw the price of corn had dropped more than half from earlier in the week.

Signs

Was at Superstore the other day and saw this. First reaction without reading the fine prints was "this is incredible cheap for a blender". Decided to take a closer look in thinking it wasn't a blender...

It indeed was a blender except the sign for items next to the blender. Here is the actual price for the blender...

Superstore

The Real Canadian Superstore is a supermarket chain operation with outlets pretty well across the country. One would expect price consistency if not corporate-wide but at least within a geographic area. This is not the case, however, with their bulk dry roasted peanuts.

At 57 cents it is about the same price as Wal-Mart charges for the packaged Planter brand. Have no idea why at least one outlet charges 88 cents.

Cookies

I think every store has a policy that if a child ask for and a cookie will be given. However, don't recalled seeing such give-away except at the Superstores.

Sign of Spring

Not all signs of Spring are by Mother Nature. Besides chirping birds, tulips, daffodils, cherry blossoms, camellias, rhododendrons.... There are the vintage cars whose owners are anxious to show public the amount of care they put in during the winter months. This was at the Superstore store front.

It was not a Valentine promotion despite the red rose. It was the week before this year's Superbowl and Superstore was using it to promote snacks and refreshment for the game.
