Went downtown the other day because I wanted to photograph Olympic related banners or wraps cascading down the sides of the office towers. Much disappointed to see only the Bay and Royal Bank. Then it occurred to me that this is limited to the official sponsors only. So much for the spirits of the Olympics.

Fair East food court

These three eateries are located Seymour right across from the Bay. Guess Vancouver has more international students studying at the downtown area than many of us realize.

Street sculptures

These eagles are popping up all over downtown Vancouver. My guess is they'll eventually be auctioned off like the orcas and spirit bears with all proceeds going to charity.

Parking ticket

Just noticed this pickup has a company logo on its side. If the owner had gotten a commercial vehicle license then he would've spared himself of this parking ticket. A parking ticket or two pretty well pay for the extra cost of a commercial vehicle license.

Against the flow

One public transit user coming the escalator to catch the Skytrain while the morning rush hour crowd is streaming up the lone working up escalator and disbursed into the downtown offices.
