Hydro Building

Went by the Hydro Building last week and saw the sign with Canada Custom sign which got me wondering it managed to cope with the power outage almost two weeks ago. The Hydro Building was one of the last to have have its power restored. I think this was intended. Makes for good optics. But how does it sit with the federal government?

Aww. I miss the orcas. They should have kept them where they were. I HATED the polar bears. They were ugly.

The orcas were auctioned off as a fundraser for local charities. You can still see the odd ones around town. There is one at North Van across from the ICBC office. Bears aren't the friendly type to start off with.

Yes, I do see the odd ones occasionally definitely, but really, the bears are just... yuck. You should try to take a photo of the Canuck whale outside Canuck Place. I think it's still there by the front gates. You can clearly see Linden's sig on its underbelly.

I have no idea where Canuck Place is. Is it near Children's? There is an orca at the Commercial Skytrain station. I think I have a picture of it.

Canuck Place is located in (First) Shaughnessy. Matthews Ave. I don't remember the address, but if you're in that area, you will be able to tell right away which of the houses is Canuck Place. It's basically on the other side of where York House is.
