Smoking bylaw

Didn't Vancouver passed a bylaw banning smoking within 6 meters of an entrance or window? Take a look at the benches and what the people are doing at a building just across the street from the Vancouver City Hall.

This law, while it (may) sound good on paper does not really work in real life. I'm constantly bombarded by idiots (sorry!) who have no consideration of the people around them when they start puffing on those disgusting cancer sticks. >;(

True, but there are times I muttered "less than 6 meters" and most smokers will moved further away. So it is an improvement. It takes time for them to see the light, so to speak.
