These trees had been pruned in order for them not to interfere with the wires overhead. The utility companies, hydro, telephone and cable, at least one of them would have to do the annual pruning. Don`t think the City of Vancouver is involved with this at all. But then one never knows when it comes to government regardless of the level.
Wonder which was there first, the trees or the wires.
