The Law Courts

Was downtown today with a bit of time on hand so headed over to the Court House and take a look at the construction at the Robson Media Centre.

Sprinklers

Once the switch is thrown these automated water sprinklers come on regardless whether the lawn needs the water or not. I've seen some in operation in the rain.

Queue jumpers

Due to Vancouver's mild weather road maintenance is a year-round thing. There are the odd times when there aren't adequate warning. Most of the time they work crews gave ample notice for motorists to merge in advance. Of course there are always some who wouldn't merged until the last second. Most annoying is those who let these queue jumpers such as these on the left in.

Camper

The camper and pickup were the first to come into view. My reaction was somebody had setup a living quarters by this popular trail. After seeing the backhoe I then realized the city's work crew is doing work in the trail.

Competition

Didn't realized the competition in the cellphone market has gone by a few notches until I saw this in one of the mall. Telus managed to have one of its huge ads hung directly behind a Solo booth which is owned by Bell. Wonder how much Telus had to pay for this arrangement.
