Happy Halloween!
The first photo turned out better than expected. Actually didn't think it would turn out at all since it was pitch dark at the time and the camera has a very slow shutter.

Getting into the mood
It is interesting to see how some business really get into the mood of the occasion. Here are the front desk and waiting rooms of a few business.
Trick or treat at the library
A group of pre-school from a daycare went trick or treating at the central library this morning.
Lions Gate
This is the approach on the north shores to the Lions Gate Bridge on a late Sunday morning. Difficult to understand why people would up with this kind of traffic on a daily basis.

Mobile car wash
Saw this on the way to the library the other day. Entrepreneur magazine in the 1990s had classified this as a great opportunity but this was my first encounter with such an operation.

Jumping the gun
Outside of Home Outfitters at Metrotown is the mall's haunted house displace but the store had devoted a section for Christmas display already. We are still almost a week from Halloween.

Oil tanker loonie
In early February Dogwood Initiative, a Victoria-based environmental group, came up with the idea of placing a picture of an oil tanker on the loonie to draw attention to the danger of allowing oil tanker along British Columbia’s north coast.
Finally got hold one of the loonies the other day. It is too small for the camera to zoom in for a decent shot. But you can go here for a good close-up.

Waiting
Yesterday morning the clouds came in so quickly that the spectacular red sunrise came and went in a blink of the eye. He was waiting for it to make a second appearance.

Flag
The Georgia Hotel literally wraps itself with a gigantic flag. We are told to expect seeing more Vancouver buildings get wrap as the 2010 Winter Olympics approaches.

Special event
Do you want this rundown looking vehicle or the its owner to promote you special event? I certainly wouldn't.

Fair East food court
These three eateries are located Seymour right across from the Bay. Guess Vancouver has more international students studying at the downtown area than many of us realize.

No seat? No problem
She came aboard at either the Edmond or Royal Oak station. The cart wasn't full but all the seats were taken. She promptly put her metal carrying case down and sat on it. By the Joyce station couldn't resist pulling out my hand unit and snap this while standing right beside her.

Foggy morning
This morning was foggy, not as heavy as later in the season. Nonetheless it was the first noticeable fog of the current season.
Foliage in the rain
The actual scene looks a kot better than these pictures. The red really comes out. Think this camera has a problem with red.
