Time for a change?

This travel agency in Metrotown had these Beijing Olympics mascots on display as soon as they became public. I think they are somewhat past the best before date given the Beijing Games are almost a year ago

Maple syrup

It wasn't that long ago that the Olympics movement was so pure and commercial free. We all know how Jim Thorpe was striped of his medal just because he player semi-pro baseball, a sport not related to his medal at all. Okay, that was a long time ago. But Canadians still remember how the Russian hockey teams composed of full time hockey players who happened to be in the army kept beating the college players representing Canada. Now we see the Olympics logo on just about merchandise as long as they pay the license fee.

North bounding cars along Granville St had crashed into this wall so often that the shop owner finally decided to paint a bulls eye on it.

Emergency response

Came across this scene one evening. What happened was a car crashed into the retaining wall between the aluminum structure and the blue warehouse complex. It looked pretty serious as the front end of the vehicle had become accordion-like. Didn't stopped to take a picture. never know what the police will do to my cellphone.

This nursing outfit's vehicles are very distinctive. First noticed it in the parking lot a few months ago. Recently saw a driver of one of the vehicles parked in a non-parking spot. Should she be doing? Is it legal?

If you wonder what this contraption is then you aren't alone. According to the prints on the package this will message your head. It must be good because they want you to part with $250 plus taxes before you can try it out. Think I'll pass because just looking at it give me a headache.
