Public market
The Granville Island Public Market started in the latter part of the 1970s as a farmers' market. It was a roaring success from the get go. Today it is home to a wide variety of products ranging from produce to tea and herbs, from donuts to organic baked goods, from candles to oriental seals. It is a tourist destination as well.

Ahhh... Granville Island, one of my favourite local spots. =)
Guess you weren't there yesterday morning when I made a quick round there.
