Blacktop

This piece of property had been designated for public park purposes. For years it had a dense growth of trees with a trail or footpath that local residents used as a short cut. The city now deemed the surrounding population has reached critical mass to warrant a park. The first step was to thin out the trees. Then widen and put gravel on the trail. Finally blacktop.

My mistake

Dropped by Crystal Mall the other day and realized my mistake in saying the Beard Papa's at Metrotown being first outlet in Burnaby. It seems the honour should go to the one at Crystal Mall.

Central Valley Greenway

The Central Valley Greenway, a bicycle route linking Vancouver, Burnaby and New Westminister, officially opened yesterday. These are photos of and from the overhead bridge on Sperling and Winston.
