Smoking benches

This is a bench not far from the door of a Tim Horton's. It generally is occupied by smokers. In the ween morning hour, 3:30, it was empty for a chamge. Kind of blurry due to the low light and the camera's slow shutter.

McDonald's is really serious about making a dent in Starbucks, Tim Horton's and other coffee bars' business. It is offering free morning coffee again.

I always wonder is it better for Tim Horton's to give out more small prizes such as a donut, cookie and bagel than a Please play again.

A surprise

Don't go to Tim Horton's that often. Yesterday a friend suggested afternoon coffee at the Lougheed and Gilmore location. Thought the cup was more colourful than their normal dull-looking brownish one. It after we finished and I was playing with the empty cup then I realized it is promoting Tim's annual summer camp.

After seeing the June 4, 2008 date my mind started to calculate the number of days left. Then it struck me that today was June 12. I was pretty bowled over by the fact they are still using promotional cups for a past event which is something I would expect from a mom-and-pop operation. Certainly not from a multi-national operation. Or is it just this location? Should I go and check out another Tim Horton's?

Tim Horton's

Tim Horton's is one of the few 24/7 establishments in Canada, especially Vancouver. For the early travelers its light is like a beacon. This particular location is close to a Skytrain station which means the stream of customers starts before 5 AM when the public transit commence operation.
