Japnese lantern

A Japanese lantern cover by snow in a garden. Today these lanterns, at least in North America, are used for decorative purposes only. We use the rechargeable battery operated lanterns to light our walkways and paths in the garden.

More snow

The snow started to come down early in the morning, at about 2 or so. By morning the accumulation produced this scene as people driving to work. This is west-bounded traffic on Lougheed Highway at 7:20. No traffic heading the opposite direction.

Some street scenes later in the day.

A snowy day

Late yesterday afternoon we had a light dusting of the white stuff, around our area anyway. This morning, at 7:30 or so, it started to come down heavy. The second photo was taking an hour or so after the snow started to fall and the other one was taken a couple of hours later
